1. WWE needs a monster. With the Big Show, The Great Khali, and Kane being mid-card guys these days, WWE is in need of a big guy to come in a crush the heavyweights. We have seen possible indications that Lord Tensai or Brodus Clay could be contenders here as they have been used recently to come out, squash the competition, and leave. While I like what is happening with these two at this time, the guy who needs to do this now is Lesnar.
2. Lesnar will bring back fans gone astray. I will admit that in recent time I have been drawn away from the WWE. The PG rating along with many in the current roster that can’t cut a promo has really turned away many. Bringing back The Rock was enough to have me tune in a bit more and now Lesnar has got me watching again. Having another year with a huge buildup to a Wrestlemania containing Lesnar as well as The Rock should be enough to keep the fans interested.
3. Cena can handle being thrown under the bus. If we were to have Lesnar come back for his first match since 2004 and lose to Cena, I can only see this as being bad for business. To have Lesnar come back and crush Cena will legitimize him as a contender and he will then be able to feud with the smaller guys and improve sales for the less important pay-per-view events.
